DANCER & DESIGNER

Before I was a dress designer, I was a dancer! While competing across Europe, I discovered that while I loved dancing…I truly enjoyed creating my own dance costumes. It wasn’t long before my dresses got attention, and other dancers started making custom requests. To advance my skills and create a strong foundation in dancewear design, I graduated from the School for Design and Technology of Clothing with a certification in color and silhouette analysis.

I came to the United Stated in 2004, and began creating dancewear under the label: Petra Designs. While my Pro/Am clients continue to win their events, (including World Rhythm Pro/Am Champion), my dresses have been enjoying their own competition success. Petra Designs was a finalist in the 2019 “Sparkle in the Spotlight” contest hosted by Rhinestones Unlimited. Recently, I was commissioned to create dresses for Preciosa Crystals to showcase their new rhinestones collection. My dresses were also featured on the television shows: "You Can Dance"and "Dancing Dream."

I love working with such amazing women. Many of them have been my clients for years, and I’m very grateful to be a part of their dance journey.
